Community Guidelines
Last updated: June 11, 2026
Freetalk is a place to create, share short videos, shop, and connect. To keep it safe for everyone, all users must follow these Community Guidelines. By using Freetalk you agree to these rules in addition to our Terms of Service. We enforce these guidelines on all content and conduct, including videos, captions, comments, profiles, direct messages, shop listings, and gifts.
1. Zero Tolerance for Objectionable Content
We do not allow, and will remove, content that is objectionable or harmful. We review reported content and remove violations, and remove or ban offending users, typically within 24 hours of a report. Prohibited content and behaviour includes:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content that endangers or sexualises minors. This is reported to authorities.
- Sexually explicit or pornographic content, nudity intended to be sexually gratifying, and solicitation of sexual services.
- Violent, graphic, or gory content, and content that incites, promotes, or glorifies violence or terrorism.
- Hate speech or content that attacks, dehumanises, or promotes discrimination against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, disability, or serious disease.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, doxxing, or the sharing of others' private information without consent.
- Content that promotes self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or dangerous activities.
- Sale or promotion of illegal or regulated goods (drugs, weapons, counterfeit items), and any illegal activity.
- Spam, scams, fraud, phishing, malware, or deceptive and manipulated content.
- Impersonation of other people, brands, or organisations.
- Intellectual-property infringement, including unauthorised use of copyrighted or trademarked material.
2. Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to use Freetalk. Freetalk is not directed to children. Some features, including purchasing coins, sending gifts, shopping, and advertising, are intended for adults and may require you to be 18 or older.
3. Reporting & Blocking
Every video, comment, profile, and message can be reported in the app. Tap the share or menu icon and choose Report to flag content or a user that breaks these guidelines. You can also Block any user from their profile — blocked users can no longer find, follow, message, or interact with you. We review reports and take action, which may include removing content, issuing warnings, restricting features, or permanently banning accounts.
4. Coins, Gifts & Monetisation
Coins and gifts are a way to support creators. They must never be used to solicit, reward, or encourage prohibited content or behaviour (for example, sexual content, harassment, or illegal activity). Attempting to use Freetalk's monetisation features to buy or promote objectionable content will result in removal and may lead to a permanent ban and forfeiture of balances. See our Terms of Service for full details on virtual items and creator earnings.
5. Enforcement
We may remove content, limit visibility, suspend, or permanently terminate accounts that violate these guidelines, at our discretion. Serious or illegal violations may be reported to law enforcement. Repeated or severe violations result in permanent removal from Freetalk.
